Enter into the beguiling sound realm of the Romantic master songwriters - Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann. Both died much too young but lived brilliantly... defining the tonal palette of an era and finding hidden lodes of lyricism in the German language. Their oft-neglected partners were many 19th century lyric poets. You’ll hear both choral partsongs and favourite solo Lieder on this intimate concert sung by the superb vocal artists of the Vancouver Chamber Choir.
