A chamber arrangement of Saint-Saëns’ playful Carnival of the Animals with narration byGeorge Zukerman is the centre piece of this program which includes a continuation of our feature on the innovative Kammermusik series of Paul Hindemith with the performance of his Kammermusik Nr. 3 for solo cello and ten instruments featuring Ariel Barnes.Jocelyn Morlock’s new suite of Luft, music originally written for our award-winning interdisciplinary performance project Firebird 2011, is premiered.Debussy’s iconic Prelude for the Afternoon of a Faun rounds out this program.
