CHAD HOOPES, VIOLIN; VSO/ ROSSEN MILANOV

19 year old violin sensation, Chad Hoopes, returns for another concert with the VSO.  Originally first-prize winner in the Young Artists Division of the Yehudi Menuhin Violin Competition, and possessing ‘a sense of musical drama far beyond his years’, this time he takes on the Mendelssohn concerto, which will test his lyrical and poetic side.  Well-respected conductor Rossen Milanov gives us the athletic and witty 9th Symphony of Shostakovich.
