EMERSON STRING QUARTET

This concert features one of the world’s most celebrated string quartets, to be followed this fall by two others of the same stature, Quatuor Mosaiques and the Takacs Quartet.  All have been regular and long-standing visitors to Vancouver’s Friends of Chamber Music.   With new cellist Paul Watkins, the Emerson’s seem to be moving in new directions, this time featuring quartets by Benjamin Britten and Lowell Liebermann.
