TASMIN LITTLE, VIOLIN; VANCOUVER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA/ BRAMWELL TOVEY

Tasmin Little is one of the most outstanding British violinists now before us: sparkling and insightful, with a natural and deep expressiveness and musicality.  She also is a champion of modern violin concertos, and is committed to inspiring young artists.  We will do a full interview with her on this site.   Here she performs Korngold’s Violin Concerto, a work that she has played from the time that this composition still languished in obscurity.  TheSaturday night concert will also feature members of the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra who will join the regular orchestra for American favorites by Bernstein, Copland and Gershwin.
